Font size displays to large when composing a new message

When I compose a new message, the font size showing on the screen is too
large. The setting is 11 point, but it displays more like 18-24 point. The
point size is correct in the sent file, but I can't figure out how to change
what I see on the screen. I want to see what I'm actually sending.

What version of Outlook? Are you using Word as the editor? What's the
magnification value?

I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2007. I don't know what the magnification value
is. How can I find it?

While composing your message, click the Format Text menu. The Zoom value is
on the ribbon toward the right.

Thank you so much for that information. I had the exact opposite problem- my son hit some keys on the laptop and when I composed messages, the text was so tiny. Thank you so much for providing the answer!!!!!
