Font size when printing

M

Michelle

In my Entourage Preferences Fonts settings, I have the following set:
List Items-Comic Sans-14
HTML-C.S.-18
Plain Text-18
Printed Items-10

I have the fonts set this way because I have a 12-inch powerbook and this
makes the reading fonts a little larger and easier to see. However,
Entourage seems to be ignoring my Printed Items font size. Anytime I print
a message, note, etc., the Print size seems larger than it should. As if
it's using the view font size instead of the print font size.

Any ideas on how to fix or correct this issue?

Hi Michelle,

the phrasing "printed items" may be slightly misleading in the case of
e-mail messages. The font you specify for printed items is used when you
print *plain text* messages, such as the one you are reading right now. If
you print HTML messages, Entourage will respect the font type specified by
the person who sent you the message. Can you verify this? If this does not
apply, post back.

So if an e-mail is already in HTML form, simply changing my preferences to
plain text won't help any old messages correct?

Hi Michelle,

which preferences do you mean? There's one preference that allows you to
define the default format for *new* messages; this will not convert any old
messages you might have stored in Entourage. Also, this defines the format
for outgoing messages, i.e. for messages that *you* send. There's no easily
accessible method in Entourage to convert an incoming HTML message into a
plain text message.

This was the preference that I meant. I changed that preferences for new
messages. I'll keep testing different situations when I print.
