is there any way in FP 2003, or any way at all for that
matter, to change uppercase letters to lowercase?
example:i have a paragraph in all caps i want to highlight
and change to lowercase.

No, but if you have MS Word, copy the paragraph to Word, then you can change it to Sentence form.
