The format of Excel's column and row headers is controlled by the Normal
Style. To change it, pull-down:

Format > Style... > Normal > Modify and then pick your font

For all new workbooks go to Tools>Options>General and change the Standard Font.

Close and re-open Excel.

For each existing workbook go to Format>Style>Normal>Modify.

Note: this will also change font of row headers.

Gord Dibben,
Your instructions changed my entire WB. All I want to change are the
column/row headings, e.a., A B C 1 2 3, etc. Thank you.

I gave two sets of instructions.

Which one did you use?

Whichever.............................

CTRL + a to select all cells.

Format>Cells>Font. Select what you want.

The row and column headers will remain as your first change.
