Hi Ilana,
You didn't mention the app or version, but you may want
to check that (a) you have a Truetype capable printer
selected in Word in File=>Print (b) that you're in
Print Layout view and (c) that you're not running into
the automatically update Normal style setting

My standard font is Times New Roman. Normally when I want to use a different
font I click on the one I want and type. Now, every time I try typing it
keeps reverting to Times New Roman.>>
