Fonts - name, size, positioning etc, icons missing?

I'm XP based and using Microsoft Publisher 2002.

Today when I opened up the programme, icons on
the tool bars which open fonts, colouring and size
of fonts, positioning of text on the page etc had all
disappeared.

Would someone please advise me as to how I may
get them to come out of hiding please?
