Fonts selected in FP 98 not displayed in browser

To Whom It Mau Concern,

The fonts that I selected in my FP web are not displayed
in the browser. It appears to be reverting to Times New
Roman. Where can I enforce the fonts selected for my
web. I have selected the fonts in the Page properties but
when viewed in the browser it's coming up as a different
font.

Thanks,

Alana

This confuses a lot of people. The setting you're
adjusting matches the FrontPage WYSIWYG display to the
browser's default font. It doesn't *set* the default font
that the browser will display.

To get the effect you want, try the procedure at:

Controlling Fonts for an Entire Web Site

I'm not sure how well this fits FrontPage 98; you may
have to do some adjusting. Or, better yet, upgrade.
There've been *many* improvemnnts in the last six years.

what font are you trying to use? - it depends of whether the user has it, as it
is the Operating system that provides the fonts that are displayed (i.e. if you
don't have Trebuchet MS - it won't display). It is best to stick with the common
fonts like times roman or arial.

If you use a fancy font that you've got - don't assume the user has it also - the
fonts are not embedded in the page.

It will default to Times roman if the 'fancy' font does not exist.
