Is there any way to change the direction of the fonts in a field? I wanted
to list my labels running up and down because the data is only checkbox's

Take a look at Lebans Vertical text... sounds like what you need.

If I understand correctly, you could make the label alignment centered, and one
character wide, and however long you need to fit the text you have.
