Footer appears in wrong section

Marty B.

Hello. I have a many-sectioned document. My section-6 footer keeps on saying
it's a section-5 footer. It looks like it's on the correct page and I
inserted it on the visually-correct page, but when viewing the footer to
change the text it comes up with the previous section number therefore using
it's text.

How can I fix this?

Thanks,

You may have to change a continuous section break to a next page break to
be able to get at the header and edit it.

I think, but don't know, that whatever section begins the page defines which
section's headers and footers come up in headerl/footer view.

Thanks Charles. I should have thought of that. Doing this adds a character to
the new page and you have to tinker with it a bit so I was hoping there was
an easier way. That seemed to solve it though.

Once you have it set, you can change the section break back.
