Footer first page, but not a header

I have a document which has a footer on every page, including the first page, and a header on every page BUT the first page. If I mark "different first page" it also suppresses my footer. How do I suppress the header on the first page, but not the footer?

You can't. You'll need to duplicate the footer. Copy the footer you have, go
to the first page and paste it.
