FOOTER HIDING BORDER

I HAVE PUT A BORDER IN THEN ADDED A FOOTER AND THE FOOTER HIDES THE BOTTOM BORDER. CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO HAVE THE BORDER AND THE FOOTER

If this is a page border, there's a setting to make the border enclose the
footer.

I WENT INTO PAGE BORDER-IT WON'T LET ME CHECK ENCLOLSE FOOTER. CAN I RESIZE THE FOOTER SO IT ISN'T IN THE BORDER? IT DIDN'T HAPPEN WITH THE HEADER-THE HEADER STAYED BELOW THE BORDER. HELP!!!

Those settings are available only when you have the page border "From text"
instead of "From edge of page."

Is the footer in a text box or frame, or is it just plain text?

EVEN WHEN I CHOOSE "FROM TEXT" AND CHECK SURROUND HEADER AND SURROUND

FOOOTER THE BORDER ON THE BOTTOM STILL IS MISSING? THE FOOTER BOX IS OVER
IT?

THE TEXT IS IN THE FOOTER BOX THAT CAME UP WHEN I SWITCHED TO FOOTER UNDER HEADER AND FOOTER.

If you will send me a small sample of the document that is causing problems,
I will take a look at it, though there's a good chance it's some printer
setting that's causing the problem. Also, have you tried enabling the
Compatibility Option to "Print body text before header and footer"? I don't
know whether a page border is considered "body text" or not. The main
problem, though, as I see it is probably that your footer margin is too
small. If the footer is set low enough to be overlapping the page border,
then there's not much way around the effect you're seeing.
