When using footer to insert x of y pages my first page reads page 2
C Charles Kenyon Jan 20, 2005 #2 This one is new to me, but there is a bug in Word that is different in different versions (including different SRs). See http://www.addbalance.com/word/pagexofy.htm or http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/PageXofY.htm for information on Page X of Y problems. You may also want to take a look at: http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Numbering/PageNumbering.htm. If it applies you may also want to look at http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Numbering/PageNumber0.htm. Are you sure you have a PAGE field and not a NUMPAGES field? You can see the fields by pressing Alt-F9. (This is a toggle and you want to do it again after you've looked at the fields.)

S Suzanne S. Barnhill Jan 20, 2005 #3 Do you have page numbering set to start from 2 or "Continue from previous section" (the latter is the default and will always start a document at 1)?
