Footer Problem

In my Schedule I have to distinct views. One view we call by District has no
issues with viewing the footer. Upon trying to type the same information
into the second view we call Board Member the Center Text will not stay
centered. It is strung out across the top or seems to stay left justified.
No matter what I try with carriage returns or alignment seesm to work. Has
anyone ever run into this problem? I am using MS Project 2007 Pro, not
connected to a server.

BillV,
I just took the file you sent me previously and deleted the center
footer on the Board Member view. Then I retyped the center footer and it
stays in the center just like you want. However, the left footer has too
much information and it "runs" over. This can of course be resolved by
introducing line feeds as necessary, but, apparently the maximum number
of characters that can be put into footer groups is 255. So be brave and
be brief.

Thanks John,

I got just about everything worked out. I had to align the cursor and
delete everything in the fields before the text aligned correctly. I
certainly do not want 255 characters but seeing as how spaces take up
characters it can get tough. I hate the fact the number of lines is so
limited. Sometimes I can get 4 lines with very simple text and other times I
can only get three lines. It's gotta be me because I haven't heard too many
complaints about headers and footers although I did read Microsoft has 272
bugs in Project 07.

BillV,
You're welcome. Project is a great scheduling application but it isn't
very good at custom reports or output and not that great as graphics
either.

Good luck with your school stuff.
