I currently have Word 2000. Is there anyway to have different footers on separate pages in the same document?

Greetings,

I have the same question regarding the header. I have sections created, but cannot create different headers to use in the different section. When I create a header in one of the sections, word automatically adds the header to all the sections. I cannot identify what I am doing wrong. I have tried creating the sections many differnt ways.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You need to unlink the sections by disabling Same as Previous (click the
button on the Header and Footer toolbar to turn it off).

You can have up to three different headers/footers in a single section:
First Page Header/Footer, Even Page Header/Footer, and Odd Page
Header/Footer. To get these, you must check "Different first page" and/or
"Different odd and even" on the Layout tab of Page Setup.

Beyond that, you have to insert a section break and unlink the sections by
turning off Same as Previous. Note, however, that if you just want the
footer to reflect text on the page (such as a subhead), you can accomplish
this without section breaks by using the StyleRef field.
