footers and the first page

Does anyone know how to make a footer print on all pages
EXCEPT the first page of a document?

Either set a different first page header in page setup and have thge content
in the subsequent page header section, or use a conditional field
{IF {Page} > "1" "Footer"}

"Footer" can be anything you would put in a document

To expand upon Graham's post, on the Layout tab of Page Setup, there is a
check box for "Different first page." When you check this, you get a
separate First Page Header and First Page Footer. You can leave the First
Page Footer empty, and your existing Footer will print on the rest of the
pages.

This setting is per section; you can have sections that don't have a
different first page, or you can put the same content in the First Page
Footer as in the Footer (but you must unlink that section from a previous
one with no footer using the Same as Previous button).
