first page only option in the Page setup window from the
header dialog.

No, you don't need section breaks. See Margaret's explanation.

A lot of heartache -- everything from nasty page endings to a
palpably higher risk of document corruption -- has its root in
being too eager to use section breaks. Use them when required,
but don't love them.
