Footers in Word document

How do I format footers in a Word document that has both portrait and
landscape pages? When trying to format the footers on the landscape pages,
the text goes wild and flutters without stopping.

I went back into the document, used section breaks, and used 'autofit to
window' and it worked. Thanks for your input.

Well, that's sort of the opposite of the desired effect. From what I've
heard, using a table set to auto resize is what causes that fluttering
effect.

I am having this same problem with some pages being portrait and some
landscape. I can not get my footers to space properly. I tried auto
formatting a table and I got this "fluttering". How do I get them to space
properly? I've broken them down into sections, but nothing seems to work?
