footers on the side of landscape pages

is there any way to display footers on the side of a
landscape page?

i have a document which is mainly portrait but does ahve
some landscape pages. i want to make sure the footers
were all along the bottom when its bound....which means
the landscape pages need the footers going down vertically
on the the left hand side.
