Footnote alignment & size

I currently have left alignment in my footnote. I would like to know i
there is a way to make this footnote extent all the way across the pag
before it wraps the text. Currently, it wraps the text about 3/4 wa
across the page. I want the left alignment, I'd just like it to stretc
across the entire page. Also, is there a way to bypass the max. 25
characters in a footnote?
