I used to be able to edit footnotes in Normal view just by double-clicking
on the footnote number. Now, when I double-click on the footnote number, it
still opens up the footnote pane, and I can see the footnote, but the mouse
will not click in that pane. Anyone else had this problem? Any clue what to
do about it?
(This problem doesn't seem to be consistent. Sometimes I CAN edit the
footnotes, but often I cannot. The kind of editing I'm doing, I don't like
to work in Page Layout view, but that's the only way I can edit the
footnotes most of the time.)
