Footnotes

Mike Russo

I am using footnotes in a documents. Some of the
footnotes will carry over to the next page after only two
lines of text. Some footnotes will appear completely on
the next page, even if there are no other footnotes being
used on that page. How do I force all footnotes to
appear on the page that are referenced?

Mike,

(from Word's help)

Word automatically moves the part of the footnote that
does not fit in the available space to the next page. The
amount of available space depends on the amount of text on
the page, the margin settings for the document, and the
number and length of the footnotes.

.....

If you have several footnotes on a page, then you may want
to insert a section break and modify the margins so that
all footnotes will appear. Try that after increasing your
margins globally.
