Footnotes

I created a document with footnotes. When I emailed this document, the parties receiving it could not see the footnotes when they opened the document. I can see the footnotes on my document. Any ideas on why the emailed copy does not show footnotes?

Did you send it as an attachment or in the body of the email?

Well, then, let's drill down to "cannot see the footnotes." Is this a
guarantee that they are not there, or could the user be looking at the
document in Normal view? If they really aren't there, then you might want to
try zipping the file before sending; although it has never happened to me,
there are reports that doc files are sometimes damaged in transit (this is
especially true if the recipient uses AOL).
