Forced Return within a cell

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

I'm new to Mac but old to Excel.
In my Windows Excel, when I'm in a Cell (or merged cells), I can type a word and hit Alt-Enter to force thru a Hard-Return, then type more text.

The text will appear stacked, rather than wrapping or truncating.

Is there an equivalent on Excel 2008?
Thank you -

No Problem:

CONTROL+OPTION+RETURN

You can also sub the Command key for the Control key in that same combo:)
