forcing 1st page header to stay on 1st page

I have a different 1st page header. The problem is that
when I'm pasting into my document this 1st page header is
moved down to section 7 or some other obscure location far
down the document. Is there a way to keep the first page
header in the first section (I don't wish to use sections
anyway in these documents) and will this keep it on the
first page where its supposed to be?

Hi Glen,

In Section 7, activate the Headers and Footers toolbar and click on the Page
Setup button and on the Layout tab, uncheck the different first page item
for that section.
