Forcing a Send/receive in Outlook

i am using Fox7 to automate Outllook 2000; and am trying to download messages
into Inbox.
Is there any way I can force a Send/Receive, and any way to find out when the
task is complete?
I open Outlook.application; and wait for say 300 secs, hoping the download
will have been completed by then. Sadly for me,sometimes it does not.

By clicking on the Send/Receive button on your toolbar. If it isn't there, go
to Tools, Customise, Tools and when you see the command 'lift' it (left-hand
mouse button held down) up on to the toolbar. You can then use it.

By using the Send/Receive button on the toolbar. If it isn't there, go to
TOOLS, CUSTOMISE, TOOLS, find the command and, with the LH mouse button
depressed, 'lift' it up on to the toolbar. Then use it!
