Forcing PowerPoint to open in Slide View, not Normal View

Can I force PowerPoint 2000 to open in Slide View, not
Normal View (like it used to)?

Hello,

For PowerPoint 2002 and PowerPoint 2003 there's a Tools->Options setting
that allows you to control in what view PowerPoint will open all documents
(including new presentations). This setting is not available in PowerPoint
2000.
