timesheet thru the approval process ??

I don't understand what you mean by "force." Do you mean automatic
approval? If so, the only way to do this is to make each resource his/her
own Timesheet Approver. Otherwise, resource managers must approve each
Timesheet. Let us know what you mean by "force."

No Dale, for example - the person has quit the org or has called in sick.
That means we have a timesheet held in 'limbo' and is showing up on the
resource managers landing page under the timesheet heading as "You have X
late timesheets from your resources.' the chain of approval looks like this

Senior Manager A <== Resource Manager A <== Team Member A

Now Team member(A) is not avialable to actually log into PWA and submit
timesheet to the resource mngr..

SO now the Resource mngr, needs to go in an "force" that user(s) timesheet
into the approval pipleine.

Dale,

I just found a work around.. e.g Team Member (A) - TimeSheet = in progress
and unsubmitted status.

Resource Manger goes into MYTimesheets=>Surrogate Timesheet =browse to
Member(A), Select the Period and click on CreateTimesheet.

The system responds that the Timesheet is in progress, would you like to
continue msg and if resoruce manger sez ok, then it sucks back the
"inprogress" timesheet for that member and produces a "Surrogate Timesheet"
- (Which technically is not --as it actually now contains all the previously
entere data of MemberA ). But, thats a whole new ball of wax on how one
defines "Surrogate" :)-

anyhow , Dale thanks for your quick response and jus sharing real life
resolution /work arounds w/this group
