Forcing use of veiwer

Ok, here's a silly question.

SET_UP:
PPT written in PowerPoint 2002 with new transitions/animations/passwords.

Sent to (e-mail / CD) computer with PowerPoint 2000 or 97 installed.

QUESTION:
How can you force the use of PowerPoint 2003 Viewer (so the newer animations
run) instead of the computer's default PPS/PPT file association of
PowerPoint 2000?

I'd guess it would have to be done from an autorun CD, like in Sonia's
software, but I do not want to allow the recipient any options on viewing.

Short answer, you can't. (Unless it's from an autorun CD.)

There are probably ways of doing this by creating an installer that 1)
unpacks the presentation and the Viewer files to the user's hard drive, 2)
runs a BAT file that has a command to run the Viewer and open the
presentation. However, it would be a large email (min. 3MB) and users like
myself would filter it out and refuse to run it, and lots of firewalls block
executables.

If you send a CD, using our software or creating it manually, the user
doesn't have an option if they just insert the CD, and nothing is installed
on the hard drive. But a knowledgeable user can always get to the
presentation file and run it however they want.
