Form- E-mail error problems

M

Mike Nelson

This is the error I get.

FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page
that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server
Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work
correctly if you publish this web to a web server that
has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.

Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.

I created a form and when i try to us it i get the error
above. The host says that extensions are installed.
Any help would be great.

Make sure you have uploaded your site to the host via FP's http mode and
enter the URL like: http://www.domainname.com

If you have done that, then the host has not configured the extensions to
process email.

ftp. I am trying to get intouch with host provider.
Thanks. Mike

By using FTP to upload, will cause any FP run-time components to not
function.

There you have it - if you have FTP'd then the server extensions are broken.
Did it myself in the early days before I found the help in this ng. Get your
host to reinstall them and republish I would suggest.
