Form Field not working

I have a form that was working just fine. I then needed to make one of the
fields "not required", so I did. The field is now not working. It will accept
a word, but does not report it in the email, instead it says the name of the
field <loan>.

I have tried to delete and reinsert the field with no luck. The rest of the
form works great, just this one field is giving me problems.

Any suggestions?
