Form Fields - Stacking vs Tabular

Greetings oh Helpful People!

I have created a form, it works as expected. Hooray. Now I am trying
to cleanup the layout.

When I first added the fields they came in stacked, I changed that to
tabular, and ultimately what I want is a little of each. I want to
have 2 rows. When I try to move the 3rd column and put it below the
first column, it does one of 2 things, it makes the box deeper/taller
- or it inserts it before the first column, making the 3rd column the
new first column and the old 1st column is now the 2nd column...

What little thing am I missing? It was easier in Access 2000 to move
fields around like this...

I just noticed that there's one field that I added later - a single
field - that I can move around freely.

It seems that creating a form via the wizard groups all of the fields
added through the wizard and keeps them grouped. Can I ungroup these
fields?

Nevermind, I figured out how to remove the grouping.

Eventhough you managed to figure out a way, here is a resource that
might help you with future layout issues:
Check out the "understanding layouts" section of this articleshttp://office.microsoft.com/en-us/access-help/introduction-to-control...

Thanks for the link - now, does anyone know why whenever I switch from
stacked to tabular Access gives me a 23" wide form? With fields that
are several inches wide each?
