Form for existing elements

Hello!

I created a new form for a folder. If I create new items the new form
is used, but if I save the new item and reopen it the old default form
is used. How can I solve this problem?

Do you have disabled: Form -> Separate Read Layout?

Thanks, that was the problem!

I just wonder why this is enabled by default.
