Form help?

Using FrontPage 2003 in XP
My ISP is Comcast

Am attempting to create a form on a web page which will send information to
me via e-mail.
Was able to do this with Time Warner, but currently am having NO success
with Comcast.
Created the form in FrontPage 2003, right clicked in form and go to Form
Properties and for E-mail address: (e-mail address removed) , then click on Options
and make NO changes, then click on Advanced and make NO changes to Advanced
Form Properties. Then I receive from FrontPage "This form cannot be
configured to send results via e-mail. The Web site may be located at a
disk-based location, or on a server that has not been configured to send
e-mail. Contact your system administrator or Internet service provider for
more information. Would you like to remove the e-mail recipient? YES
NO"
published at: http://home.comcast.net/~siaccarino/formtest.htm , and then
access to test, Form comes up, insert information and submit, results are
"Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page:
http://home.comcast.net/~siaccarino/formtest.htm"

I have waiting four days for a response from my ISP, so am wondering if
there are any ideas with my procedure so far?

Thanks,
Sal Iaccarino

From Comcast's pages:

"FrontPage Extensions
Add support for Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions to your site. Use
Microsoft FrontPage to upload and manage your site, and add the ability to
use FrontPage 2002 Extensions such as the hit counter, site search,
discussion webs, and form support. "
Did you add the Frontpage extensions?

And then you must Publish your website up to their server via the http://
method.

Rob,
Thanks for your comments.
1. Yes I have activated FrontPage extensions.
2. Remember in creating the form when I attempt to enter the e-mail address
to send information to, I receive: "This form cannot be configured to send
results via e-mail. The Web site may be located at a disk-based location, or
on a server that has not been configured to send e-mail. Contact your system
administrator or Internet service provider for more information. Would you

I publish.

Thanks,
Sal Iaccarino

1) Remove spaces from the form field names, example remove space from
Submit Button name (name="Subscribe Now" should be name="SubscribeNow")

2) Add a subject in Form Properties. Many ISPs will dump emails with
no subjects as Junk Mail.

3) Change the email file format to Formatted text. If the form had
more fields HTML format would prevent all the data from being sent -
this is a known bug since 1998.

Ronx,
I have complied with items 1, 2, and 3. However, after clicking O.K.
I still get "This form cannot be configured to send results via e-mail. The
Web site may be located at a disk-based location, or on a server that has
not been configured to send e-mail. Contact your system administrator or
Internet service provider for more information. Would you like to remove
the e-mail recipient? YES NO" Since this happens before I publish I don't
see that item 2 has any effect. Still baffled.

Thanks,
Sal and Eileen

If this is on your PC, and you are editing a disc based web (file system
location similar to C:/webname/website) then the error can be ignored.
Answer NO. You will *always* get this error from a disc based web,
since there is no way to use the page without a server.

When published, the error should disappear.

Ignore the warning in #2 by clicking NO. That's a warning that you can't use
the form locally on a disc-based web. Publish it to the web and see if if
works.

I would like to thank all that attempted to help with this problem. This the
current status:

a. I spoke with Comcast for the second time on Monday. Still had the
feeling they did not know what to do with the problem They gave me a second
ticket Number and said I would hear from them in 24 to 72 hours. I am
still waiting to hear from them. Their support is NOT good.
b. I resolved the problem by publishing to RoadRunner (Time Warner,
previous ISP) and I now have a working form at:
http://home.swfla.rr.com/computerclub/register.htm

Once again, thank you all for taking the time to help.
