I have a strange problem happening with a form of mine and was wondering if
anyone else has experienced it and may know how to fix it.
I have a form which has several combo boxes and other controls which are
lookups based on the first combo box on the form. Sometimes when I make a
selection on the first combo box, the form automatically calls up a previous
record which has the same selection in that combo box, automatically filling
in all the information from that record as the new record. Any changes that I
make to this new record, including deleting it, not only happen to this new
record, but also to the original record that was copied! However, if I close
out the form without making any changes, open it up again, and go to the new
record that was just created, the only field that is filled in is the first
combo box. It's very strange and very annoying since I'm forced to close out
the form each time this happens (which isn't the majority of the time, but
enough that I wanted to post this question) and then go back and delete the
last entry.
If anyone has any suggestions I would grealy appreciate them!
