Form on website

Is there any way that I can check if the results of a form are being
saved properly without having it on the web? I want to make sure it
works before putting it up. When I test this in a browser, when
submitting the form it reads "the file --WEBBOT-SELF--" cannot be
found. Is this problem because the site is not up on the web yet or
is it for another reason? Any help is greatly appreciated
