Form & Report slow to edit

I have a report and form that are painfully slow to edit. When they run they
do so quickly; but they are slow to edit. As I said, both run very fast
when in use, it's just that they are slow to open when editing them.

Have looked around here for advise and the "Log name Auto/Correct changes"
function turned off (the default setting).

Using A2003 11.6, XP Pro SP1.

Any thoughts on this?

Off-hand, this may explain part of it.

Also, I've had experience with reports getting slow to edit if they are near
the maximum number of controls/objects allowed for the report. I haven't
gotten close enough to the limit on a form to verify that with forms.
However, the above link information have a very noticeable effect when using
slower hard drives, such as the 4200 rpm hard drives on laptops.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not so sure that that article fits my situation as the rest of the
forms/reports, etc. are all working well. I must be nearing the number of
allowed controls for the report. For the form that's slow to edit, there are
only 4 controls, 2 of which are buttons.

I'll keep digging. Thanks again for your help.
