Form Routing

B

Brook

I'm having trouble setting up a form that routes to an person based on an
entry in a drop down list.

I would like to have the form route to our travel department and
automatically CC: the person's manager when the manager's name is selected in
a drop down list.

One more question: is it possible to include a routing button on the form?
I've tried creating two submit buttons on the same form but they didn't work
independently from each other. They both shared the same rules. After the
travel coordinator enters cost information, I would like them to be able
forward the form using a "Forward to:" button instead of Outlook.

Thanks

InfoPath Submit Buttons

You can add email address in the drop down list box properties.

What I did was add the email address as the "Value" and the display name as
the full name so that the name shows up in the field instead of the email
address.
1. bring up the drop down box properties on your drop list
2. add the email address as a value and their full name as the display.
3. click on Tools, data Connection, new
4. click on the function button (fx)
5. Insert Field or group
6. choose the name or number that is connected to the drop down box that
contains the email address.
7. click okay, next then finish

Note: if you have more them one submit button, you will need to use the
rules and custom code function and setup submitting rules
