Hi
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this one...
I have an mdb with a single form on it, which upon load runs a macro which
imports data into tables from another database.
This works no problem.
However, when I compact and repair the database and then subsequently open
it, it takes about 15 times as long for the controls to work ie combo box is
slow, listboxes don't update quickly, egg timer when clicking on buttons
etc.
However, if I close the database and subsequently re-open it, it is all
pretty much instant, despite it running exactly the same macro. !?!?!?
I am calling th macro from code using the Form_Load event
I am very puzzled
Can anyone advise
Cheers
