Form Wizard Errors

Hi all :) Access 2007 - Vista SP2 Ultimate

After a fresh clean install of the Vista SP2 32 bit and Office 2007
Professional Plus. Here are the Errors as they appear:

When I click on Create>More Forms>Forms Wizard I get the following errors:

First error:
The database cannot be opened because the VBA project contained in it cannot
be read. The database can be opened only if the VBA project is first
deleted. Deleting the VBA project removes all code from modules, forms and
reports. You should back up your database before attempting to open the
database and delete the VBA project.

Click Ok, then I get:
Cannot update. Database or object is read-only

Click OK and then I get:
The Visual Basic for Applications project in the database is corrupt:
This error can appear if you try to convert an Access 97 database to a more
recent Access database. If the database was not compacted prior to
performing this operation it is highly recommended that you compact it as
soon as possible.

If the database is corrupt or has many references to entries that are marked
as deleted but have not yet been removed from the database, the database
will usually not convert properly. Performing a compact and repair ensures
that the database is free of defects that could negatively affect the
conversion process.

To compact and repair the database, click the Microsoft Office Button, then
click Manage Database, and then click Compact and Repair Database.
If necessary, you can import the data from the Access 97 database into a new
database. To do so, create and open a new database. Then, on the External
Data tab, in the Get External Data group, click Access Database. In the Get
External Data dialog box, browse to the Access 97 database that has the data
that you want to import, and select the option Import the source data into a
new table in the current database.

Click OK, then I get:
Feature isn't installed or has been disabled
To install the feature, rerun the MS office Access or the MS office set
program. To reenable this wizard, click the MS Office button, Options,
Add-ins Manage>click disabled Items and then click Go.

Nothing is there.

I have tried a repair, reinstall and followed all the steps in the details
and Help, but, am still getting the errors when I try to open the Form
Wizard from the More Forms.

Is this a known issue? I don't use the Form Wizard myself, but, was covering
some steps for a friend.

Jan :)

I believe Office 2007 is up to Service Pack 2. Have these been applied?

Hi, ruralguy,

Yes, I have the SP2 installed and am fully updated. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled from a different CD and get the same errors. I am not sure why I am getting this error. I would think that the the Form Wizard should be a native part of the Create tools, but, it says it is an add-in.

I am going to try installing another edition of the Office on another machine and see what happens there.

Hi Jan,

Vista can cause some strange issues as well. I use WinXP so I can't help
there. I do have ac2007 though so if yopu think I can be of some help just
post back.

OK...I have installed from this same edition of Office Suite from the same
CD to another drive and Vista SP2 and it is working without error. So, it
would seem there is something on my end that I need to troubleshoot. I had a
different version of the Office Pro Plus on this drive before I uninstalled
and installed the 2007, so something may be amiss in the registry or
elsewhere that is affecting the 2007 program.

If anyone can suggest what other areas I might check it would be much
appreciated.
