Format cells that span multiple colums

In creating a calendar I split a cell and had it span 5 columns. This was for
an event that lasted 5 days. The first time I did this I was able to center
text in the cell over the whole 5 column area but now I can't get it to work
on my other calendars. The text just gets added to the first column area and
then wraps around and makes the cell height taller. I tried turning the wrap
off to no avail. I've been trying to figure out what I've done wrong for
hours. Help!
Thanks, Linda

Make sure the cell width equal the total width of all 5 cells, instead only the width of the first
cell, etc.

Thanks so much for replying. I did figure it out right before you replied but
I had to set the cell width at the total width to center the text and it
worked but made the first cell larger. So I set the width back and it kept
the centered text. It's like I had to trick the program. But it worked!
Thanks for the help
