format check box

I need to make the X in the check box form field darker.
It doesn't come through very dark and kind of disappears
when the fax-recipient receives the form.

Any suggestions?

I'm afraid there's no way to affect how the checkbox form
field displays (except for making it larger).

Possibly, you could use a checkbox from the Controls
Toolbox toolbar. Or you'd need a macro, similar to what the
Microsoft FAX templates use, but adding to it unprotecting
and reprotecting the document in order to insert the
AutoText entry with the checkbox you prefer.
