Format in which a message is sent

In previous versions of Outlook, you could define what format (HTML, text, etc.) a specific
recipient in your address book would receive all messages. Is that still possible? I can't find it.
I have a listserve that I am on that only accepts text messages. I want to set up the listing in the
contacts to handle that.

TIA...

Certainly.

I can't find it.

Open your Contacts folder and locate the entry for the mailing list.
Double-click on the email address. At the bottom will be a drop down that
controls this.

Brian,

Thanks for pointing that out. My question is this: How
do I change all in my address book to "Let Outlook decide
best sending format"? I'd hate to have to do this for
each person in my address book.

Also, how do I set up Outlook so that any future contacts
use this option.

Tim

BTW: You answered what has stumped my IT for the past
year. Maybe it's time to look for other advice...

I'm not sure how to answer. At least for me (Outlook 2003), that's the
default choice. I also have "Plain Text" set as the default format on
Tools>Options>Mail Format. Futher, on that same page under Internet Format,
I have "Convert to Plain Text Format" under "Rich Text Options" and on the
International Options page, I have "US-ASCII" as the preferred encoding for
outgoing messages.

use this option.

Since it just happens for me, I can't tell you.
