format not known

Since I installed Word XP, I have had the errors noted
below:

Whenever I try to copy text from WordPerfect to Word I
get the following error:

Input file is not the format specified

Also, if I try to open a Word document in Wordperfect, I
get the following error:

Unknown File Format

PLEASE HELP!

What version of WordPerfect are you running? Try saving the file from
WordPerfect as a Word document, or a RTF file ( Rich Text Format), then open
in Word.
