Format Painter

Is it possible to use the Format Painter on non-contigous lines in Word? I
am using Office 2000(SP3) on Win2K(SP4).

It seems that as soon as I paint a set of lines, I have to reselect the
format agin, to continue to paint other lines.

Is there any way to make the desired format "stick" so that it can be
applied repeatedly?

Thanks,
Jay

Hi Jay,

If you double click the Format Painter icon it stays active until you double click it again so you can apply the same formatting on
a repeated basis.

Thanks, Bob.
Wonderful. I never would have guessed it would be so simple! I am
definitely in your debt -- wished I'd asked this question years ago . :)

Thanks again.
