Formating in Forms using Repeating Data

M

MAGICONE

I am creating my first Form Document where I have setup a single page to
enter Form Text fields to be used to repeat the data in the rest document by
using Form Ref fields. The problem I am having is I can not keep the
formatting correct for the Ref fields. Example.
Customer Name: Big Fish Company

When "Big Fish Company" is repeated in the rest of the document the font
will be different for the customer name. For example "Big Fish" will be a
font size of 26 and "Company" will be Font size 10 and be bolded.

I can go and update the formatting in unprotect mode and save the document
and then when I put it back in protect mode, and enter anther customer name
the same thing happens. How can I save the formatting information of the Ref
Fields.

I don't believe there is any way to do this, using a single field. You can
either format according to the input field or to the cross reference field,
but you can't format part of a field. If the field has variable data, which
presumably it has or there wouldn't be a need for a field, then how would
the output be determined?

If you are picking from a fixed number of entries using a drop down field,
then you could insert the cross references using formatted autotext
entries - the method is explained at http://www.gmayor.com/SelectFile.htm.
