formatting characters display

I have a number of documents which are infested with LF or CR characters rather than true paragraph endings
They display almost the same except that there's a dot to the left of each true paragraph
Can these line breaks be displayed differently than paragraph marks

Hi Jay

You're misunderstanding what those marks are. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm, which says in
part:

"Finally, you will sometimes see a small black bullet in the margin
next to a paragraph. This indicates that the paragraph is formatted
with the 'Keep with next,' 'Keep lines together,' 'Page break before,'
or 'Suppress line numbers' property. These settings are found on the
Line and Page Breaks tab of the Format Paragraph dialog..."
