Hi guys,

it looks stupid but i´m trying to make a simple pie chart in Excel 2008: (say, 3 cells -10,10,10) and i can`t get a simple pie chart formatted showing the values (33%, 33%,33% i guess) with the percentage sign (%). What i get when Labels as percent is selected is 33. (dot).

I did this in Excel Windows and everything works fine. Opening it in Mac produces the same result: No percentage sign. Just a simple dot.

Obviously i´m doing something wrong or some config in my mac is not right. Any help ?

Well, I'm not seeing anything like that here, nor have I seen it reported in
this group. The first concern ‹ since you didn't stipulate ‹ is whether
Office (12.2.1) & OS X (10.5.8) are fully updated. If not that could be at
least a part of the problem. Confirm that the updates are applied, that disk
permissions have been repaired & that you've restarted the Mac.

If the problem continues I would first suspect a corrupted font cache. Quit
any MS apps. Go to User> Library> Preferences> Microsoft> Office 2008 &
remove the file by the name of Office Font Cache (12). Launch Excel & see if
the issue persists. You may have to select None for the labels then select
Percent again in order to get the labels to refresh.

Hi guys,

Thanks for reading. Issue solved with service pack 12.2.0. Not so familiar with SP´s anymore :)

Good to hear, but there's no need to miss out on updates :) Go to Help>
Check for Updates in any of the Office apps & set AutoUpdate to check
automatically Monthly, Daily or Weekly... Monthly should be adequate.
