Formatting date

Date now shows as "Wednesday, September 25, 2009". Would like it to appear
as "Wed 9/25/09", meaning first 3 letters of day and shortened date. The
day could be in a separate column from the date.

Set the Format property of your text box to:
ddd m/d/yy

If you want the day in a separate column, add another text box and set its
Control Source to the same field, and its Format to:
ddd
You can then set the Format of your original text box to either Short Date
or General Date.
