Formatting Errors using Speech ?voice command

I have a Dell Latitute laptop and i get formatting errors
in word using speech. I have 1.2 GHTZ and 512MB RAM and
use a USB microphone. I think the internal microphone
picks up sound and causes a conflict and corrupts word
when the USB is not plugged in. You cannot fully
disengage the internal microphone.

Dell think it is due to the voice command in speech which
I cannot disable on my software. Some software allows you
to disable it by going to settings on the speech bar and
properties, but only if it shows an advanced tab.

Hi Fran,

To disable Speech open the Tools menu and select Speech. Note if it
does not have a check to the left of the command it is already
disabled.
