formatting issues with table in Word documents

I am trying to build and format a document for my job using Microsoft Word
2002. I have managed to build mulitple tables that are very long and break
across multiple pages, but I am currently finding that some tables regardless
of what I do, automatically push the entire table to a separate page, leaving
3/4 of the previous page blank. I have tried to deleting the space. I have
attempted to remove orphans. I have even tried retyping the entire table
over again. I have even tried using a table that I didn't have this issue
with and cutting and pasting the new material into it. Every time, it
creates this waste of space.

Can someone help me with this issue? I have turned to everyone in my
department, even many of the administrative assistants, but no one seems to
be able to understand why this is occurring.

Struggling and frustrated with Word,
Chris

uncheck the three boxes for "Keep lines together", "Keep with
next", and "Page break before" | OK. Repeat in each table that
has this problem.
